The Game left the drug dealing street life for rap music after listening to NWA, Dr. Dre and other rappers, inspired to become a music artist. A few years later, in 2004, The Game released one of the best rap albums of the decade, The Documentary, which debuted at #1 and was compared with his mentor's album The Chronic.
